The West Virginia Class AA State Runners-Up are crossing the state line and climbing Rose Ridge Mountain to take on one of Virginia’s Class 2 State Championship contenders! 🗣️🗣️

There will be playmakers all over the field Friday night, but I believe this game could ultimately be decided where football games have been decided forever:
IN THE TRENCHES.
The battle up front is always important. Sometimes an overwhelming amount of talent at the skill positions can cover up weaknesses along the line - especially in high school football.
But that isn’t the case here.
🐺 THE WOLFPACK FRONT
Ridgeview fields a defensive front loaded with playmakers.
Logan Justice has made a name for himself this season by practically setting up camp in opposing backfields. If there’s a hole in the protection, Justice has a habit of sniffing it out.
Then there’s Gunner McCoy, a player who seems to have a knack for making the big play at exactly the right moment.
This Wolfpack defensive front doesn’t just chase quarterbacks—they hunt in packs. 🐺
And waiting for them on the other side is a Beaver Dam that has already faced some serious flooding.
🦫 BLUEFIELD’S BIG BOYS
Bluefield counters with plenty of talent across its front five, anchored by All-State frontrunner Ethen “Big E” Thompson and Division I prospect Zion Pitts.
Bluefield’s front has gone to battle against players like ETSU commit Gage Palmer (Graham), All-State standout Jysir Williamson (Graham), and Marshall commit Landyn Moore (Princeton).
So when the Wolfpack comes hunting Friday night, the Beavers aren’t going to see anything they haven’t been preparing for.
The question is simple:
🐺 Can the Pack tear down the dam?
🦫 Or will Bluefield hold the water back?
🦫 DON’T LET BLUEFIELD’S 1-2 RECORD FOOL YOU
Bluefield enters Friday night at 1-2, but context matters.
The Beavers’ two losses came against Graham, one of the major contenders in Virginia’s Region 2D, and Princeton, West Virginia’s defending Class AAA state champion.
Those are rivalry losses that nobody in Bluefield wants to take - but they’re also games against programs capable of testing anybody.
Bluefield picked up its victory against a James Monroe squad that entered the matchup 2-0.
And despite the record, the Beaver offense has been pouring points onto the scoreboard.
Led by All-State Players, QB Max Simpson, running backs Jeremiah Jones and Willis “WillC” Williams, and WR Pax Calhoun, Bluefield has averaged 41 points per game through three games.
🐺 THE PACK IS 3-0
On top of Rose Ridge Mountain, the Wolfpack has been protecting its territory.
Ridgeview enters 3-0, averaging 44 points per game while allowing only 7 points per game.
The offense runs through QB Braxton Deel, RB Collin Hill, and “Inspector Gadget” Alex Grant.
And Grant has been pulling just about everything imaginable out of the toolbox. 🧰😂
Through three games, he has piled up 371 all-purpose yards and 8 total touchdowns.
Run it. Catch it. Return it. Score it.
Inspector Alex Gadget 🕵️♂️ finds a way.
But what makes Ridgeview especially dangerous is that many of its offensive stars turn around and become defensive standouts.
Add Xander Wallace to that group, and the Wolfpack has athletes who rarely leave the field and seem perfectly comfortable making an impact on either side of the football.
🌲🦫🐺 WELCOME TO WOLFPACK TERRITORY
Friday night, the Beavers march into Wolfpack territory looking to chew through the timber, tear down anything standing in their path, and haul the lumber back across the state line.
But there’s one problem…
The Wolfpack doesn’t seem to give a dam who walks onto the mountain. 😂🐺🦫
Ridgeview has defended its territory all season, and now one of West Virginia’s most recognizable programs is coming directly into the den.
Something has to give.
