🎃👻 COSTUMES, CARTWHEELS & A LITTLE HALLOWEEN CHAOS! 🤸‍♀️🐻

It’s about to get SPOOKY at Appalachian Gymnastics Academy!

During October 26–30, our gymnasts are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to class! 🧡🖤

We can’t wait to see our princesses, superheroes, witches, and whatever else walks through our doors. 😂

Just a few rules so nobody becomes a flying pumpkin: 🎃

👻 Costumes must be gymnastics-appropriate!

🦇 No masks, capes, or dangling accessories.

🎃 Gymnasts must be able to safely run, jump, roll, and flip!

Basically, if your costume can’t survive a cartwheel, it’s probably better suited for trick-or-treating. 😂

Costumes are completely optional, but we can’t wait to see everyone who dresses up!

POV: You ask for a POWER HURDLE… and your gymnast takes off like she’s running a 100-meter dash. 🏃‍♀️💀😂

I said POWER HURDLE, why are you running 😭

But here’s the gymnastics lesson behind the chaos 👇

🤸‍♀️ What is a power hurdle?

A power hurdle is a controlled, explosive movement that helps a gymnast transition into a round-off. The goal is to create a strong, efficient entry with proper timing, body control, and forward momentum.

💥 Why does it matter?
✔️ Builds a strong, consistent entry into the round-off
✔️ Develops proper timing and coordination
✔️ Helps generate momentum for a powerful rebound
✔️ Creates better technique for connected tumbling skills

A power hurdle should be quick, controlled, and explosive—not a full-on sprint across the gym! 😂

The goal isn’t to take MORE steps. It’s to make the hurdle count!

👻 BONUS: We’re having a COSTUME CONTEST! 🏆

Send your kiddos dressed in their favorite costumes for a night of gymnastics, games, spooky fun, and a little friendly competition!

We’re making a little change to our Open Gym schedule!

Moving forward, Open Gym will ONLY be held on Fridays at 11:15 AM!

That means Tuesday Open Gym is officially taking an early retirement. 😂

Come jump, tumble, climb, and burn off some of that energy before the weekend!

💚 Fridays at 11:15 AM

🐾 $8 for members

🐾 $12 for non-members

🐻💚 Need your kid to burn some energy somewhere other than your living room furniture? We can help.

At AGA, we’ve got classes for the tiny tumblers, the cartwheel-obsessed, the future ninjas, the strong kids, the bendy kids, and the kids who just really need somewhere appropriate to climb on things. 😅

And while they’re having fun, they’re also building strength, coordination, confidence, focus, resilience, and friendships. Sneaky, right?

We offer preschool gymnastics, beginner & intermediate gymnastics, tumble, homeschool gymnastics, boys gymnastics, strength & agility for boys AND girls, plus adult gymnastics and stretching & mobility for the grown-ups who still think, “I could totally do that.” 🤸‍♀️

✨ One free trial per child!

30 min classes: $70/month
45 min classes: $80/month
55 min classes: $90/month
Drop-in class: $25
