10-24-26
First tournament of the Fall season “Top Flights Fall Fest”.
Game 1- 10-3 win vrs East Cobb Bullets Whittemore. Bats were hot from the start scoring multiple runs in every inning. Defense was mostly on point with one or two minor mistakes. Pitching was great commanding the game with 3 dominating innings
Game 2- 6-2 win vrs Lady Dukes Wilkerson Defense started out shaky on first couple of plays leading to us starting down by 2 runs. Bats came out in the first out scoring 4 runs to put us up for good. Pitching was locked in shutting them down the rest of the way with zero earned runs for the game. After a rough start defense locked the rest of the way
Game 3. 0-13 loss vrs TN Mojo Dotson. After a great start pitching and defensively we collectively just fell apart in the 3rd. Offense never came alive and we couldn’t seem to find an out. Have to play your best when playing great teams and we just didn’t have it
2-1 Pool play record Headed into bracket as a 2 seed in the gold bracket
Game 4 - 4-1 win vrs Unity Duffey. Pitching commanded this game from the start allowing zero earned runs for the game. Defense did a great job with one great relay getting a runner at home after a hard hit triple. Offense battled hard against great pitching. Some timely hits , working the counts drawing walks , laying down great bunts to put 4 runs on the board. Great team win
Game 5 - 2-4 loss vrs Ec Bullets National Hunt. After 2 2/3 scoreless innings we couldn’t seem to find the third out leading to them scoring 4 runs on us. Pitching was great entire game but a couple hits at the right time provided a lead we could not come back from. Offense kept working and finally broke through with 2 runs but we simply ran out of time
Overall a great day to start our season. We have had very little practice time and it showed at times but we are playing great teams and competing which is all we can ask for !!
