The FLYING EAGLES, aka the Montgomery County Special Olympics golf team, closed out the 2025 season with our annual Flourtown Tournament.

Hat's off to Trudy Knorr, Mary Brock and Joan Ridler for setting up a raffle during the Flourtown Tournament on September 7th. They raised $635.00 for the golf program!

The Flying Eagles arrived at the Special Olympics North American Golf Championship, we got to show them how it's done in Pennsylvania as our own Bill Ridler carried the torch and lit the flame!

The Flying Eagles filled some downtime with a visit to Mr. Ed's Elephant Museum and Candy Emporium. The sort of roadside attraction that can make traveling backroads a real treat.

Today was day one of the Special Olympics North America Golf Championship. The Flying Eagles had a great showing.

The Montco Flying Eagles golf team is thrilled to be participating in. the Special Olympics North America Golf Tournament with athletes from many other states and Canada. The tournament is being held at Penn National Golf Club in Fayetteville, PA. Today we had opening ceremonies and tomorrow the competition. begins!

The Montgomery County Special Olympics Flying Eagles golf team is thrilled to be attending the Special Olympics North American Golf Championship at Penn National Golf Club in Fayetteville, PA. Day 1 was a chance to meet teams from many other states and Canada and enjoy opening ceremonies. Our own Bill Ridler was honored to carry the torch and light the flame to kick off the competition. Tomorrow the real competition begins.

Our very own Brian Quinn will be joining Team Pennsylvania next year in the National Championships as a part of the golf team. Here he is, front row, right side, sporting a new t-shirt along with the rest of the team and Coach Marc McCarey of of the Pittsburgh Team. Go Brian!!
