Well it's about time I share a recap of last weekends 3rd Annual Scott Burnett Open hosted by Hazy Shade Disc Golf And More 🥏⛓️
Round 1 at Caesar Ford Park from the blue tees started off hole 1 with an absolute park job off the tee with my Kastaplast Idog for the easy birdie. Sadly, hole 2 humbled me with tree kick after tree kick and despite carding two more birdies on the front 9 I didn't play that well on the back 9 landing me at +9 on the day.
Round 2 at Echo Valley from the gold tees I'd really like to say went better than round 1 but that just wasn't the case. Never played the gold tee layout before so I had trouble hitting some of the lines needed and after about 6 holes I was honestly worn out. Scored the worst round I've ever had in any round anywhere 😕 Positives of the day came from throwing some of the new Kastaplast Tour Series discs in the K1 Hard plastic and man the new Stal, Alva, Jarn and Reko X are gonna be staples in the bag the rest of the season!
Shot above my rating for the event overall which is another positive takeaway to build on. I just gotta avoid those trees 🌳🌳🌳 Next tournament is end of June unless I decide to throw one before then. Regardless I've got a lot more practice ahead to get things more dialed in 💪🏻
