Attention: Town of Bloomsburg Residents
About 3 years ago, a previous Town Council passed an Ordinance to not allow parking on one side of most town streets on one day each week, and to not allow parking on the other side on a different day. To make matters worse, they hiked the fine for forgetting to move your car on one of those days to $40.00. THAT'S THE DREADED $40.00 FINE!

This change was supposedly for "street maintenance," but street maintenance is almost never done on those days. It was also supposedly to stop students from "warehousing" their cars, by forcing them to move them at least once every week.
I'm pretty sure that almost all Town residents are still opposed to that Ordinance, and I am planning to introduce a motion at an upcoming Town Council meeting to rescind it. But I would like to hear your comments on the current parking situation in Town.
