BU Dance Ensemble

BU Dance Ensemble The Bloomsburg University Dance Ensemble is the largest student run organization on campus. There are 160 members.

Styles include: Acro, African, Ballet, Competition, Country, Hip Hop, Irish Soft and Hard, Jazz, Latin, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theatre, Step, and Tap.

Hi Everyone! Unfortunately, the Centennial building studio will be closed on Labor Day. Heels and intermediate hip hop will now have auditions on 9/11, not this Monday. We know this is a last minute change, so we apologize for any inconvenience! If you have any further questions, please DM! All other classes will still start on Tuesday 9/5!

Hi everyone! Thanks to everyone who came and saw us today at the activities fair! Cannot wait to get the season started💗Before auditions, here are some reminders…

•If you are not sure what level you fit in too, attend both intermediate and advanced classes and let the teacher know so they can discuss where to place you.

•You can only be in one level per style.

•If you are a returning member, you must retry out for the classes you want to be in, even if you were in the class previously.

•Make sure that when auditioning for a class, you are available during that time each week, as that will be your practice time.

•Wear anything you are comfortable to dance in. For technical classes, we suggest bringing half soles or jazz shoes!

•For auditions, just bring your confidence and have fun!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Amanda, I’ve been dancing since I was 2 years old. I’m going into my senior year and this is my second year with BUDE. This year I am so excited to be Co-teaching a new Heels class with KJ. Heels is a hip-hop like sensual floor work inspired type of dancing, that incorporates other types of dance styles like jazz, burlesque and Latin dance. It’s is a great way to express yourself and gain confidence. For this class having all splits it recommended as well as some previous dance experience. My only other requirement is to grab those heels and have fun! I’m super excited to get back in the studio and see everyone.

Hi, I’m KJ! I have been dancing since I was 5 years old. I am going into my junior year and this will be my 3rd year in BUDE! Heyy guys, I’m Nicole and I’m teaching Advance Hiphop this year for BUDE!! This is my second year teaching this class and my third year apart of ensemble! I’ve been dancing for 11 years and teaching at a local studio for 3. Hiphop is my all time favorite style and I’m big on energy, so bring it to tryouts!! I’m so very excited for this incoming year and I can’t wait to see everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Baylee and I am a senior majoring in nursing. I have been dancing for about 20 years, and this will be my 3rd year with BUDE. I will be teaching Tap and Intermediate Contemporary. Having a background in tap is encouraged, as well as some basic technique for contemporary. My only other requirement is to have fun! Hi my lovelies!
My name is Liv I am a senior studying education. I have been dancing for twenty years of classical ballet, lyrical and jazz training. I am teaching ballet and pointe for BUDE as well as treasurer on Exec board and this is my fourth year with ensemble•••some requirements I have for my class is to have a double pirouette, fouetté and most importantly to have confidence! My goal is to make your confidence and technique double by the end of the season and grow the love of dance that we all have!!
