Attached is the flyer, where the kayak rentals are which is where we are meeting and the cost to rent a kayak according to google! If coming please also bring a covered dish to share! The two winners for the smallest trout caught (1 boy & 1 girl) from the Fishing Creek Sportsman’s Association Youth Fishing Derby held in Benton this past weekend! They each received a bait bucket full of fishing goodies donated by us! It’s not always about the biggest fish caught, it’s about all the memories made! Their smiles say it all!

Arnold Lockman of "Heritage Baits and Lures" (Bloomsburg) provided prizes for the 2 Smallest Trout caught. A minnow bucket filled with Fishing Lures, Bobbers and more! The winners were: Gavin Wurst and Julia Maderia.

Kid's Fishing Derby 2026:
Here is the info: The Derby is Sunday, June 7th. You can start registering after 10 AM...the Fishing starts at 12:30 PM and ends at 2 PM...No cost to register...Kids from ages 5 to 12 can fish and must keep the first 3 trout that they catch...no casting lures such as spinners, spoons or minnow type baits are allowed for safety reasons. All derby entrants will receive a prize of some type. We will have a food trailer (Hotdogs and Hamburgers) and drinks (soda, water) available for purchase. One free bait packet will be available for each registered fisher, provided by Heritage Baits and Lures. Memberships and raffle tickets will be on sale.
