We’re looking for positive, dependable people who enjoy working with children of all ages and abilities—from 22 months to 12 years—to join our team as Swim Instructors!

At SHINE, we believe in building confident swimmers, teaching lifelong water-safety skills, and creating a positive environment where both our swimmers and our staff can grow.

We’re a team that values encouragement, teamwork, accountability, and having fun while making a difference.

Previous experience is great, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. Training is provided. Applicants must be comfortable in the water.

🚪Entrance update: NO more signing-in. 📋

We have been informed that we are no longer being asked to have everyone sign in. This means that we are doing 👀 visual 👀 check ins.

Bloomington Normal Swim Club will be practicing in the South Pool. They will be entering through a different door with direct access to the South Pool.

Thank you so much for everyone’s patience as we learn the new entrance process but also the new layout.

Great news! We will be hosting testing this Friday, August 7th from 4:00-7:00. Registration will open at noon tomorrow, link here: https://www.shineswimacademy.com/page/class-registration

Please ensure that your swimmer has seen the testing video prior to testing: https://www.shineswimacademy.com/page/custom-page/testing

Space is limited for the fall session due to a higher than expected retention rate, so not all swimmers testing this Friday will be placed immediately.

SHINE Swim Academy  offers a variety of aquatic programs following the nationally recognized teaching method of Swim America. To our amazing SHINE community,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your patience, encouragement, and unwavering support over these past few uncertain days. Your kind words, messages, and understanding have meant more to us than we can express.

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news! This morning, we received confirmation from Four Seasons that SHINE will continue operating under our current lease through May 2027.

While there may be some operational changes along the way, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving this wonderful community and doing what we love—helping swimmers of all ages build confidence, skills, and a love for the water.

We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available. Until then, thank you for standing with us and believing in SHINE.
