Dwan Golf Course

On 11/1, Lisa Krohn of Edina took 1 swing of her utility hybrid and seconds later the ball found the cup on #8 for a hole-in-1, making her the 11th member of the 2026 Dwan Aces! Are you sensing a trend? 😀

The club Lisa used belonged to her father who introduced her to the game as a young child. He played until he was in his mid-90s, and it was his club that gave Lisa her first ace after 60 years of playing the game. It's an amazing full-circle moment and we're thrilled that Dwan could be a part of it. 🏌️‍♀️⛳️

There's only a limited amount of time left in the 2026 season for you to become Dwan Ace number 12. Make a tee time at blm.mn/dwan and take your best shot...literally.

The weather is cooling down, but the golf is as hot as ever! In October, we added two more members to the 2026 Dwan Aces. ⛳

🏌️‍♂️ On October 1, Mike Vande Kamp of Minnetonka teed up on hole 8, swung his 6-iron once, and 168 yards later the ball came to rest at the bottom of the cup!

🏌🏼‍♂️ On October 13, Allan Johnson (pictured) of Bloomington eyed the pin on hole 11 from 115 yards, took one swing with his 5-iron, and achieved golf's hole-y grail.

Congratulations to both on the amazing achievement! The hole-in-one total at Dwan now numbers in double digits. There's still plenty of time left in the 2026 season for you to become Dwan Ace number 11. Make a tee time at blm.mn/dwan today!

Dwan Golf Course is one of the busiest 18-hole courses in Minnesota. Since opening in 1970, we have hosted countless tournaments, charity events and leagues, and have seen as many as 60,000 rounds played in a single season. In more than a half century, minimal improvements have been made to the course and facility. But that's about to change!

The City is embarking on a plan to replace the clubhouse with a new facility and make improvements to the course and we want to hear from you. Click below for details on a drop-in Open House on Tuesday, September 29, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Dwan clubhouse. Meet with City staff and the design team, learn more about the plans, and provide your perspective on the project. 🏌⛳

Hear from City staff and consultants and provide feedback on the Dwan Golf Course renewal project September 29, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Fall officially starts tomorrow (9/22), but the aces are already falling at Dwan Golf Course. 😎

On September 16, Donna Hawley of Edina sized up her tee shot with a 7 hybrid on hole 11. One swing later, she watched the ball fall (you can't stop us) to the bottom of the cup for golf's most coveted windfall (we've got a million of 'em)...a hole-in-one! 🏌️‍♂️⛳

Congratulations to the newest member of the 2026 Dwan Aces. If you want to join this exclusive club, don't falter (okay, maybe we're trying too hard ). Make a tee time at blm.mn/dwan. There's still plenty of time to play before the golf season is ended by snowfall (we're done now).

Who says 13 is unlucky? Not Guillermo Cachuela of Lake Elmo, that's for sure! On Sunday, September 13 his ball found the cup after just one swing of his 8-iron on hole 4, giving him a hole-in-one. Congratulations Guillermo on being the newest member of the 2026 Dwan Aces! 🏌️⛳️

Think you have what it takes to duplicate the feat? The only way to find out is to make a tee time at blm.mn/dwan.

Albatross: 1) Large oceanic bird; 2) Constant and inescapable burden; 3) Score of three under par on a golf hole. (source: dictionary.com)

We hope you can guess which one applies to Owen Ferderer of Eden Prairie whose ball landed in the cup after just two shots on the par 5 12th hole at Dwan Golf Course on August 19. This achievement is approximately 100 times rarer than a hole-in-one!

While that still doesn't officially permit entry into the 2026 Dwan Aces, it is an amazing accomplishment that deserves to be celebrated. Congratulations Owen! ⛳🏌

Do you want to try for an ace, birdie, albatross or just an enjoyable and challenging round of golf? Make a tee time at blm.mn/dwan to get in on the fun at one of Minnesota's most popular courses.

Adding a new member to the 2026 Dwan Aces is one of our favorite things. Adding two is even better! ⛳️

On June 4, Gary Close took one swing with his 6-iron and watched the ball sail 125 yards into the cup on hole 4. 🏌️‍♂️

On June 22, Don Lapp (pictured) used his 7-iron to ace hole 11 from 139 yards. That's amazing on its own. But what's even more incredible is that at 90 years of age, this was Don's first hole-in-one! We're thrilled that Dwan was part of such an exciting and memorable achievement. 🎉

Congratulations Gary and Don! If you want to join them, make a tee time at blm.mn/dwan. ️

Getting a hole-in-one is a four-step process.
Step 1: Place ball on tee box (directly or on a tee).
Step 2: Swing club and hit ball.
Step 3: Watch ball go in cup.
Step 4: Celebrate!

David Howard of Minnetonka followed this recipe on May 31 when he aced hole 11 with his 9-iron from 125 yards out to become the fourth member of the 2026 Dwan Aces. Congratulations David! 🏌️⛳️

Try joining the list. Make a tee time at blm.mn/dwan.

Meet Dwan. Not the golf course, the person! Dwan is from Florida and has embarked on a summer golf tour of America. He heard about Dwan Golf Course from a friend and on May 29, for reasons that seem pretty obvious, he made us his only tour stop in the Twin Cities. Now, we're not saying he's our favorite guest so far this season...but we're not not saying it either. 😉

One thing Dwan didn't do at Dwan is get a hole-in-one. But two guests did join the 2026 Dwan Aces recently. On May 12, Nathan Grochow of Bloomington got a hole-in-one on number 8 from 175 yards with his 8-iron. Janice Jaworski of Mendota Heights aced hole 18 on May 28 using her 5 Rescue club from 118 yards. Congratulations! ️‍🏌️

Whether your goal is to play Dwan for fun (like Dwan) or to join the Dwan Aces (like Nathan and Janice), the only way to accomplish it is to make a tee time at blm.mn/dwan. ⛳️
