🎉Congratulations to Susanne (Susanne Bulington), who won the free Dust Bowl 100 entry from the Oliver Winery Cycling Team 🍒🍇🍋 Recon Ride Series giveaway!🎉
Susanne is 55 years young and works as a speech-language pathologist in Lafayette. She started cycling about 18 months ago and has built confidence and skills through Wabash River Cycle Club weekly women’s rides. Additionally, Oliver Winery Cycling Team 🍒🍇🍋’s recon rides encouraged her to conquer the fear of riding with clipless pedals!
Susanne admits that she signed up for Dust Bowl before she had even ridden gravel, but she loves new challenges and working towards a goal. She also recalls race director, Marc O’Leary’s interview and his passion for the event, thinking, “Someday I’d love to do that.” 🥹
Susanne also attributes much of her growth in cycling to Kayla Lawson with Tactic Fitness & Nutrition, stating that her coach has helped her tremendously in learning a brand new sport.
Previously, Susanne resided in Mississippi, but recently made the move back home to Indiana. She says, “Returning home to Indiana has been special, and exploring the beautiful rural roads by bike has made me appreciate the state in a whole new way. Riding the Dust Bowl feels like the perfect way to celebrate coming home.” 🌽
