OMG!

Via the miracle of Google maps we can see the enormous progress that has been made at White Golf world headquarters. Everybody knows it as "the Church" because it is actually a church in more ways than one.

This structure is 120 years old. As bad as the outside looked, the inside was much worse. It truly was a labor of love.

Now, it is a showplace with a fridge full of craft beer, and the best cat who ever lived, Jack, the vicar. (Jack is a girl.)

All you Michiganders, this is a must stop on your way to Mammoth Cave.

I just made this hardwood putter grip - African Padauk.

It took me three full days to do it, and it was a royal pain in the ass, but I got 'er done. Why? I did it for two good reasons: First, to show how tough I am. Second, I was curious what a hardwood putter grip would feel like.

OMG, this thing is T&A! It is unspeakably responsive. You can feel the grooves digging into the urethane. In fact, I had to put a couple of weights in the butt just to tone it down a bit. I mean it is a hammer. An absolute friggin' hamma.

This bad boy is going into my bag tomorrow. No logo. No finish. Just raw wood. It's an alpha male thing.

You may be cool, or think you are cool, but you will never be African Padauk putter grip cool.

Did anybody else notice that LA Golf just dropped the price of their putter from $1500 to just $500? Wow! The guy in charge of their manufacturing efficiency must be an absolute genius. How can I hire that guy?

I wonder what it feels like to pay $1500 for a putter... and then this.

What would you guess it costs to make one of their putters?
