Nigeria Rope Skippers are leaving no stone unturned as they intensify preparation towards leaving indelible Mark on the Guinness World Record history. The skippers will on August 18 mount the stage to shock the world by attempting 8 different Guinness World Records. Gbenga Ezekiel the current Guinness World Record Holder in Most Skips on one leg in one minute will be breaking his own record. He will also go ahead to challenge Himanshu Prajapathi of India who holds the GWR on Most Double Under Skips on one leg in one minute with 132 skips and Peter Thompson of United Kingdom who holds the GWR on Most Consecutive Double Under Crossover with 362skips. Gbenga has promised to unify the Three records saying it's high time Nigeria proves her Rope Skipping abilities to the world. Commenting on breaking his own record Gbenga said, "I have not gotten to the limit. After breaking the records on August 18, I will break them again and again. I want to set a record for Nigeria that will be difficult for anyone from any country to break in the next twenty to thirty years. I want the Records to remain in Nigeria. I know it's hard, I know it's difficult, but I also know it's not impossible ".
In another development Philip Solomon the GWR holder in Most Skips on one foot in 30 Seconds will challenge Megumi Suzuki of Japan who has held the Guinness World Record for Most Skips in 30 Seconds for over 13 years. He will also attempt dethroning Himanshu Prajapathi of India who currently holds Guinness World Record in Most Cris-cross Skips on one leg in 30 Seconds and Most Cris-cross Skips on one leg in 30 Seconds Blindfolded.
In addition Dunsin Dubem will challenge Ryan Eedion ONG Alonzo of the Philippines to claim the title as Guinness World Record Holder in Most Double Under Crossover in 30 Seconds, while Kenneth Godswill Chidera will attempt to dethrone Peter Thompson of the United Kingdom to become the Guinness World Record Holder in Most Double Under Crossover in one minute.
Once the record attempts are verified, it will put Nigeria on top of the Rope Skipping Guinness World Record table with 9 title. This remarkable achievements of the Rope Skippers within a year goes to prove that Nigeria is a country to reckon with in terms of sports excellence. The four Rope Skippers will be clashing later this year in the first ever prestigious Rope Skipping Grandmaster's Derby to determine who will be crowded the first Rope Skipping Grandmaster in Nigeria. This will be the first ever Rope Skipping Grandmaster's Derby in the world.
