Akadema Prospects The Akadema Prospects youth baseball organization founded by Akadema/ProPlayer Baseball Academy President Lawrence Gilligan, managed by Taylor Bargiacchi.

The Akadema Prospects have teams in the 9u,11u, 12u, 13u, and 14u levels. The mission of the Prospects coaching staff is to educate young athletes the right way to play the game. The Prospects don't believe in the result, the focus on the process. What it takes to get to the next level and are always looking to push kids to be the best young ballplayers they can be. With hard work, dedication, and

a true love for the game, the coaching staff is comprised of ex-major leaguers, minor league players, college coaches, and successful college baseball players that have a true passion for teaching the game.

The Akadema Prospects are looking for players for their 9u, 11u, 13u, and 14u teams for the upcoming spring season. Players will be participating in late fall and winter clinics to brush up for the season.

The Prospects are based out of ProPlayer Baseball Academy in Hawthorne NJ.

Akadema Prospects 11u team is looking to add players for 2015 roster. The Prospects 12u were one of the top teams in the area in 2014. Sponsored by Akadema Inc. and training out of Proplayer Baseball academy – Est. 1993 and one of the longest , most successful running training facility in the country. The Prospects teams are coached by some of the area top coaches: Lar Gilligan – HS All American 1st team, U of Tennessee player, St Louis Cardinals and Chicago White Sox player, All-Century 1st Team Passaic County and former Dominican College Baseball Coach. Taylor Bargiacchi – DII 4 yr. College catcher, team captain, All-County HS, Newark Bears coach. Matt Valenzano – DII 4 yr. College catcher, Ramapo College Asst. Coach,. Dan Galluchio - Sleepy Hollow Varsity Coach, Scott Papetti– HS All County, DIII College player, HS Coach Ridgefield Park HS, Marcos Agramonte – Professional player Texas Rangers, San Diego Padres, Kris Totten – DII College All-American selection, Professional pitcher Seattle Mariners.

Prospects are looking for serious players to join our (2015) 11u team. Players will participate in full winter training workouts and Spring, Summer and fall practice/tournaments and league play. Prospect coaches focus on the development side, which in turn, creates a successful winning team.
