Horse Powered Learning – Summer Sessions Now Enrolling!

We’re excited to offer Horse Powered Reading and Math sessions this summer! This unique, one-on-one program blends academic skill development with hands-on learning alongside horses. Through movement-based activities, children strengthen reading and math skills while building confidence, focus, and emotional awareness in a calm, supportive environment.

Perfect to keep skills fresh while school is out.

Sessions are 45 minutes, held weekly, and offered as a monthly program, led by a certified Horse Powered Reading facilitator. Space is limited.

Spring Lesson spots available! starting April 1st.

We have a handful of lesson spots available for beginner through advanced riders. Lessons available for students ages 5 and up. Located in Bloomingdale, Ohio 15 minutes from Steubenville, about an hour from Pittsburgh, and 45 minutes from Wheeling WV.

Shows and fairs are approaching quickly, let us help you be prepared!

We have an indoor arena that allows for year round riding. Students learn from the ground up with an emphasis on a balanced seat and good horsemanship on and off the horse.

🐴 Do children learn to ride faster than adults?

People often assume children learn faster, but that’s not always the case.

Adults usually have greater body awareness, strength, and coordination. Because of that, they often understand riding mechanics more quickly and can develop skills faster.

What slows adults down is usually fear — especially the fear of getting hurt. That awareness can create tension, hesitation, or overthinking.

Children tend to approach riding differently. They listen closely, trust the process, and are often more willing to try without worrying about every possible outcome.

Horses don’t expect perfection from riders, but they do look for confidence and clear direction. When a rider becomes steady and confident, the horse responds right away.

The good news is that riding can be learned at any age. Confidence grows step by step.

And horses don’t care how old you are — they respond to clarity, patience, and leadership. ❤️
