Good luck Blossoms!

Our Boys & Girls Varsity Golf teams will tee off in the MSHSL Section 1A Tournament today and tomorrow (May 26-27) at Eastwood Golf Club in Rochester. They'll tee off bright and early at 9 a.m. Fear not — the Blossom Birdie Boosters have worked hard all season to make sure our golfers are well fed, hydrated, and have more snacks than they can handle.

The Section Tournament is unique in that it's a two-day, 36-hole event. Our golfers will play 18 holes each day, and scores from both rounds are added together for a final team and individual total. There are no cuts, so every golfer who tees off Monday plays again Tuesday.

The million-dollar question is always: how do golfers get to state!? Well, they can qualify as a team by having the lowest combined team score over both days, or as an individual by finishing in the top 5 of golfers not on the qualifying team. Golfers from the winning team don't count toward those 5 spots — they're already going as part of the team.

Come out to Eastwood to cheer them on, or follow along with live scoring through the iWanamaker/MSHSL app. Let's send our boys and girls off with all the support we've got.

We're back on the home course. Blooming Prairie's Boys and Girls Junior Varsity Golf teams will host Hayfield and Randolph at the Blooming Prairie Country Club starting at 4:30 pm tonight.
