Jukido classes will be offered by Bloomfield Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services on Mondays and Wednesdays from September 14 through October 21, 2026.

Classes for ages 5-13 meet from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Classes for ages 14 and older meet from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Participants may register for either Monday or Wednesday for $110 per resident or both days for $180 per resident.

Dojo Announcements!

Next week we are off for Labor day and Wednesday! We start the new session in Bloomfield on the 14th! If any Bloomfield Jukidoka wants an extra day. Can come to Farmington Dojo at 20 Monteith Drive all the way in the back!

The Savage Sisters came to slay! For a second class Zoe did great! Falling and throwing her sister around to show her who is boss!

Small group means big work! It's always a blessing and a curse in a small class. A lot of work but Sensei stares at you...menacingly. Brandon and Averrett did great! There commitment really shows!

Once and a while Sensei gets to play! We were exploring different strikes into throws. Shiko-Dori is a personal favorite for the control aspect as well as compliance. And sometimes hit right, the feet come up as you bring them down!

Now from the other perspective! Taylor using the augmented Tae Waza (hand technique) and a Mae Gari (front kick) to push him more on that foot for the Ashi Waza (foot sweep).
