We would like to give a shout out to our USTA teams that competed in districts this past weekend. Our teams fought hard, and competed like champions. Special congratulations to our 4.0 women who will be advancing to the sectional championships. If you would like more information about signing up for one of our teams, please contact the club.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of one of our beloved pickleball members, Mark Floryan, who was tragically involved in a car accident last week. Many of you probably interacted with, or have seen, Mark at our club. He was a familiar face who visited our club daily - whether to play, to say hi, to make a cup of coffee, to hang out at the pool, to talk to Rick about the indoor pickleball club plans, or just to hang out and enjoy the pickleball and tennis environment. We probably saw him at our club more than any other member we have; it was like a 2nd home for him. When he tragically got in the accident, he was actually on his way to play here.

When Rick was power washing the pickleball courts a few weeks ago, Mark lent Rick a helping hand, as seen in the picture below. That’s just who Mark was, always someone who wanted to help and inspire others.

Mark will always be remembered for his love of life, pickleball, the club, and the community. Mark will be greatly missed by everyone who had a chance to interact with him. Our memory of him and his friendly persona will always live on.

Rick has been hard at work power washing our pickleball courts. It took over three hours per court, but the difference is huge. Come stop by the club and play some pickle on our clean courts!
