Check out these cuties! Elaina has been riding Rebel and Pistol but she said her favorite horse is Titan, so we spent some time riding him ba****ck for her last lesson. When I asked her why he’s her favorite, she said he licked her. I thought that was hilarious. Titan can be a love bug and he’s a goofy favorite of ours.

Horses that look and feel this good into their senior years don’t happen by accident. Pistol is a favorite lesson horse around here who absolutely loves his job! How do we keep him happy & healthy with a full lesson schedule??….

Today, we hosted a Zentangle class by Kris Klueg Heeter and Btown Zentangle! Participants were able to create magical doodle drawings (“Tangles”) using guided prompts while overlooking the horse pastures! All the horses came to say hi, and Cowboy and Pistol were both brought out to meet everyone and answer questions about horses. We enjoy hosting our community in different ways because we know it’s super beautiful and peaceful! Thanks to all who came!

“If it ain’t rainin’, we ain’t trainin’!” - some military person somewhere, probably. 😎. All jokes aside, this is a fun but challenging groundwork sequence that involves forequarter yields, hindquarter yields, speed control, rib cage bending to stay soft - all while on the move! Great job Drifter! Give it a try and let me know how it goes for you!
