We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the Junior Black Hawk Dance Clinic: Summer 2026!

Dancers in Kindergarten through grade 8 are invited to join the Bloomfield Hills High School Varsity Dance Team and coaches for an exciting three-hour dance experience on Wednesday, August 26. Participants will learn a BHDT-style pom routine taught by our Varsity dancers and prepare for a special performance opportunity at the BHHS Boys Varsity Football Game on Thursday, August 27.

The Junior Black Hawk Dance Clinic is designed to help young dancers build confidence, coordination, self-esteem, and performance experience while learning from the Bloomfield Hills High School Dance Team. This is a great opportunity for dancers to experience what it means to be a Black Hawk and be part of our dance community!

Clinic Details
📅 Date: Wednesday, August 26
⏰ Duration: 12-3 p.m.
📍 Location: Bloomfield Hills High School Aux Gym
👯 Ages: Kindergarten–8th Grade
🏈 Performance: Thursday, August 27 at halftime of the BHHS Boys Varsity Football Game (7:00 p.m. kickoff) - call time for this day will be shared as we get closer.

We encourage dancers to reserve their spot and join us for a memorable Black Hawk dance experience.

Please note that separate material fees will be collected closer to the clinic date. Additional information regarding clinic materials and payment will be provided to registered participants.

The legacy of West Hills Middle School continues to live on through the people and traditions that shaped it.

The John Farrell Athletic Award, established in honor of longtime teacher and coach John Farrell, recognized students who embodied dedication, sportsmanship, and school pride.

Recently, former WHMS principal and current Eastover Elementary principal, Andy Gignac had the honor of presenting these plaques to John Farrell’s son, Shane Farrell. This was a meaningful moment that celebrates not only a remarkable educator in BHS, but the lasting impact he had on generations of students.

We are pleased to share that Da'Ron Mason has been nominated for the Detroit Free Press Boys Basketball Player of the Year 🏀 ! Da'Ron became the fourth leading scorer in program history finishing with 1,246 career points. He averaged 17.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.7 steals.

Are you ready to make BHHS history? Join the inaugural BHHS girls flag football team 🏈 💜 🖤

Free clinics:
March 7, 1:30-3 p.m., SHMS Field House
March 15, 1:30-3 p.m., SHMS Field House

Tryouts will take place on March 21 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the SHMSF Field House. Practices will be the week of March 23.
