Coming to Around the World with YPT this month? You’ll learn about the overseas work Sanya L Weston, TVC Philanthropist in Residence, has been up to this year: partnering with young people and nonprofit organizations in Kenya and Tanzania.
In Kenya, she supported efforts to mentor and empower youth and women with the Restoring Dignity Foundation. She also brought educational resources to and volunteered with AUSCHIDS, an organization supporting young people with learning disabilities.
In Tanzania, she continued building her relationship with Loyola High School, working towards opportunities for students to connect with peers in the United States.
For Sanya, empowering young people through education, mentorship, cultural exchange, service and global engagement is a mission without borders. She wants her philanthropic impact to be meaningful and lasting.
Whether it’s working with youth facing challenges in Kenya or sharing resources and global perspectives with young people in Michigan, her work is impacting young people across the world and right here in Michigan.
