The run has come to an end.

Our 12U boys fell to Bayonne, 9-3, in the New Jersey State Championship game. While the outcome wasn't what we hoped for, it doesn't take away from what this team accomplished.

These boys battled through a tough District, Section, and State tournament, finishing an incredible 9-2 postseason and earning the title of New Jersey State Runner-Up. That's something to be proud of.

Congratulations to our players on an unforgettable season. Thank you for the incredible memories, the hard work, the resilience, and the way you represented our community every step of the way.

The players and coaches also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us throughout this journey. Whether you came to games, followed along online, sent messages of encouragement, or cheered us on from afar, your support meant the world to this team. We truly appreciate everyone who was part of this incredible ride.

This bill is huge for our little league umpires! Please like, share and help support! We need umpires to keep our league going

This week's Bill of the Week is S-4045, legislation that clarifies that amateur sports officials are considered independent contractors for purposes of State employment laws.

Across New Jersey, youth sports depend on dedicated officials to ensure games are conducted safely, fairly, and with good sportsmanship. However, uncertainty surrounding their employment status has made it more difficult to recruit and retain the officials our communities rely on.

S-4045 provides the clarity needed to help attract and keep amateur sports officials, ensuring our youth leagues have the personnel necessary to oversee games, promote orderly conduct, and provide a safe environment for young athletes, coaches, and spectators alike.

Strong youth sports programs begin with strong leadership on the field. I am proud to support this commonsense legislation that helps preserve the integrity of amateur athletics and ensures our children can continue to enjoy safe, organized competition.

⚾️ State Tournament Update ⚾️

What. A. Comeback.

Our BKLL 12U All-Stars are headed to the New Jersey State Championship!

The boys battled in an absolute thriller, defeating Cresskill 9-3 to punch their ticket to the finals.

The game was tied 1-1 for most of the afternoon before Cresskill scored two runs with two outs in the top of the 5th to take a 3-1 lead. But this team never blinked.

In the bottom of the 5th, BKLL answered with an explosive 8-run inning, flipping the game on its head and securing an incredible comeback victory!

Now it's one final challenge.

BKLL will face Bayonne in the State Championship and must beat them twice to bring the title home. If there's one thing these boys have shown throughout this tournament, it's that they never quit and they thrive when the pressure is highest.

Let's pack the stands, get loud and rally behind these amazing young athletes!
