Congratulations to our CMS Boys Golf Team as they finished as Runner-ups at the region tournament Tuesday at Fields Ferry GC. The guys finished ONE stroke behind Dalton MS for 1st place. Bryce Roberts led the Jackets with the 2nd lowest score of the day overall with his great score of 42. Nash Roberts had the 2nd best score for the guys and 4th overall with his fine score of 44. Landon Cagle had the 3rd best score for the Jackets with his 51 and Jagger Childress had the final counting score for the team with his 52.

Congratulations to our Lady Jackets MS golf team as they were the region runner-ups on Monday at Cartersville CC as well. Helping them finish 2nd behind Cartersville was Lyla Gonzalez and her 57 and Emma Gee with her 58. Just behind was Ella Kinnear and her score of 59. Grey Carpenter also competed well and scored a respectable score of 61.

Coach Gresham is extremely proud of both the ladies and the guys on their great seasons and hard work and significant improvement we have seen! We want thank all teachers and school personnel for working with our golfers schedules this fall!

Senior Beau Black gets us started in the GHSA 5A State Tournament.

The boys and girls golf teams competed today in the GHSA 5A State Sectional Tournament at Double Oaks in Commerce. The boys team finished 2nd with a score of 295 (4 shy of the school record of 291). Beau Black set a CHS sectional record with a score of 67 which won him low-medalist honors. The boys earned the right to play in the State Tournament. The girls were led by Sophomore Tyler Robinson who finished in 13th place overall.

Today at Fields Ferry our guys and girls golf teams both finished in 3rd place at the 5-A Area 3 tournament and qualified for sectionals May 6th at Double Oaks Golf Club. Our Jackets were led by Beau Black's 76, then Kole Offutt's 81, Tripp Morgan's 83, and Baylor Johnson and Peyton Joy both had 86's to finish out the scoring for the Jackets.
Our Lady Jackets were led by Annie Eickman's low medalist runner-up round of 94. Tyler Robinson and Campbell Nudd rounded out the scoring to secure a spot at the sectional tournament. Calhoun Schools

Congrats to the Boys Golf Team on their victory in the Rambler Invitational today at Lafayette Golf Course. The team shot a score of 298. Hayden Jackson was the Low-Medalist Champion with a score of 71. Ethan Lunsford made the All-Tournament Team as well with a 74.

The CMS Jacket golfers completed their successful seasons Thursday and Friday before Fall break at their Region golf tournaments.

On Thursday at Fields Ferry, our guys finished 4th out of the 9 teams and Oaklen McDaniel led the guys with his fine score of 49! He was followed by 6th grader Nash Roberts with a 56, Karson Cavins with a 59, 6th grader Ben Jordon & Tripp Eubanks with 60's and Asher O'Neal with a 61.

On Friday, our Lady Jackets finished Runner-up to Cartersville at the region tournament. Our Lady Jackets were led at the region tournament again by Braylon Worley and her 54 (which tied for 2nd overall individually), she was followed by Annie Eickman's 56 and Ava Brown & Annalyn Purdy's 57's.

Coach Gresham wants to thank all administrators, teachers, and students for your support of our team this year!

8th graders it has been a blast you will be missed next year! Proud of all our golfers and their hard work and dedication this season!
