🥎🏆 **2026 GRPA District 2 Class C 10U Machine Pitch Softball Champions** 🏆🥎

Congratulations to our very own **PCRD 10U All-Stars Softball Team* on capturing the **2026 GRPA District 2 Class C Championship!**

These girls showed incredible determination, resilience, and heart as they battled an undefeated Jeff Davis team in back-to-back championship games, playing a combined **3½ hours of softball** to bring home the title.

**Championship Games:**
🥎 Game 1: Pierce County 23 – Jeff Davis 13
🥎 Game 2: Pierce County 19 – Jeff Davis 11

After suffering a tough loss on Friday, this team responded by winning **six straight games** to complete an unforgettable championship run!

We are incredibly proud of these athletes, coaches, and families for their hard work and dedication. Thank you for representing Pierce County with class, grit, and determination.

💙🥎 What a battle by our 8U Girls Machine Pitch team!

The girls fell just short in a nail-biting game, with Long County edging out Pierce County 14-13 in the final inning.

While the scoreboard didn't fall our way, these young athletes showed tremendous heart, determination, and resilience from the first pitch to the last out. They fought until the very end and represented Pierce County with pride.

We are incredibly proud of this team, their coaches, and the support from their families throughout the tournament. The future is bright for these young Lady Bears!

💙🥎 What a day for PCRD Softball in Jeff Davis!

Our 8U and 10U Girls Machine Pitch teams are battling hard and making Pierce County proud!

🔥 10U Girls Machine Pitch defeated Bacon County 15-5 to advance to the GRPA District 2 Class C Championship Game! They now face undefeated Jeff Davis and will need to defeat them twice to claim the district title @ 6pm tonight.

🏆 No matter the outcome, BOTH 10U teams have earned a spot in the GRPA Class C State Tournament and will represent District 2 June 23-26!

💪 Our very own Laura Crawford was chosen by the Umpire for Player of the Game during our 10u match up against Bacon. Laura received a signed game ball for going above and beyond the call of duty.

🎉 SENIOR BINGO & FREE FARM FRESH PRODUCE! 🍓🥕🌽

The Pierce County Recreation Department and Hospice Satilla's monthly Senior Bingo is excited to collaborate this June with Magnolia House, CaptionCall, Affinis Hospice, and the Southeast Georgia Farmers' Market Nutrition Program, which serves Georgia WIC recipients and Georgia seniors.

✅ FREE Lunch provided by Pierce County Recreation Department
✅ FREE Bingo, activities, and prizes provided by Hospice Satilla
✅ FREE Fresh Fruits & Vegetables from Georgia farmers

All attendees who are **60 years young and older** will receive FREE fresh fruits and vegetables.

📍 Bingo concludes at 11:00 AM.

🥕🍅 Produce distribution will take place from **11:00 AM – 1:00 PM**. All seniors **60 years young and older** are invited to receive FREE fresh fruits and vegetables.

Residents who are **55 years and older and currently living in an assisted living facility** are also welcome to attend and receive FREE fresh fruits and vegetables.

💙🥎 10U Softball Machine Pitch is battling hard in Jeff Davis!

🐻 This team refused to quit.

A tough defeat on Friday could have ended their run, but these players and coaches responded the only way they know how — by battling back and winning the next THREE games on Saturday.

Their determination, heart, and commitment to one another have been incredible to watch. No matter what happens next, these girls have already shown what true teamwork and resilience look like.

Congratulations to the Pierce County Recreation Department 8U Boys Coach Pitch All-Stars on capturing the 2026 GRPA District 2 Class C Championship!

This talented group battled hard all tournament long and finished the job as District Champions. Their dedication, teamwork, and determination were on full display, and we couldn't be more proud of these young athletes and coaches.
