Virginia Tech Recreational Sports' wheelchair tennis program brings together athletes of all abilities and skill levels to enrich their lives through movement. Virginia Tech Wheelchair Tennis meets every week at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center and is open to anyone who would like to participate.

The very first wheelchair tennis match for both Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia took place on March 4th, 2023

The HOKIES took away the inaugural match. 5-1!

But everyone left as champions because we have created a program and community that supports people and has brought together incredible athletes and people in the name of Tennis!

Many thanks to all those who have been influential in the starting of this program

Frank Shushok. - To get things off the ground, you need early adopters who can make things happen at the highest levels, and you did that for us!
Jason Harnett - For showing us that wheelchair tennis at VT was possible and for your multiple trips to Blacksburg to help us generate excitement.
