A LIFELONG PURSUIT OF AUTHENTIC MUAY THAI 🇹ðŸ‡
Nearly two decades ago, Ajarn (Master) Travis began a journey into Muay Thai that would ultimately become a lifelong pursuit.
Since beginning his training in 2007, he has traveled from South Dakota to Las Vegas and repeatedly to Thailand—not simply to train, but to continue progressing through a complete system of Muay Thai under Grandmaster Toddy.
Trainer.
Kru.
And now, Ajarn.
He is deeply honored to have reached the level of Ajarn (à¸à¸²à¸ˆà¸²à¸£à¸¢à¹Œ)—a Thai title of respect for a master-level teacher—and to have completed this progression through a Muay Thai certification system officially recognized through the Thailand Government's Ministry of Education.
This achievement represents years of training, examinations, certification, recertification, repeated journeys to Thailand, and continued study under Grandmaster Toddy.
It also places an enormous responsibility on his shoulders.
Ajarn Travis is proud to be the only Ajarn of this lineage and certification in our five-state region, bringing this level of authentic Muay Thai instruction directly to our community in South Dakota.
For his students, that means something.
You don't have to leave South Dakota to begin learning within a direct lineage connected to Thailand.
You have access here at home to nearly 20 years of experience, repeated training in Thailand, direct mentorship under Grandmaster Toddy, and a structured Muay Thai system at the only gym in the region recognized by the Thailand Government's Ministry of Education.
But becoming an Ajarn isn't where the pursuit ends.
It is where his responsibility becomes greater.
A responsibility to his teacher.
A responsibility to his students.
A responsibility to preserve the standards and traditions entrusted to him.
And a responsibility to ensure the next generation receives authentic Muay Thai with the same dedication with which he has pursued it.
This has never been a short-term journey for him.
It is his life's work.
🇹🇠Authentic Muay Thai. Direct lineage. Thai-recognized certification.
The only Ajarn of this lineage in the five-state region—right here in South Dakota.
