Should be a fun one. It’s been over 4 years since I myself have Relayed (Rode). For Wolverine Canyon it’s been 5 years since our last race as a team. So we will see what 2 Rookie Horses and 1 Veteran can Do. I myself feel Better from my last Ride from 2022. It’s been fun watching from the Stands. But now it’s time to get back on the Track and See what we can do. With Jason Teton Front Holding. Kalen Hammond Riding. Not sure who our other Help is just yet. We Wish all Teams Near and Far Good luck, Be Safe and Have Fun.

Here’s a shot of the last exchange to the anchor Horse.
Some may wonder how fast a rider hits the ground running. This is probably slow compared to other rides in the past and to other Relay jockeys out there.

After discovering the telemetry of GoPros, I recall turning on the GPS setting on before races. Didn’t know why I needed to but 5 years later watching other videos of jockeys and horse trainers gallop horses with their footage I wondered how they was adding those to their videos. Going back thru old footage, we got it figured out. So here’s the speeds on our past relays. Hope you enjoy.

This day was Farmer Creek with 1st Place, Wolverine Canyon 2nd place, War chiefs 3rd Place.

Flash Back to the Year 2020. When Covid was making places shutdown and us relay teams didn’t think we’d be getting a 2020 Racing Season. The Fort Hall Indian Relay Association Made races happen during the Pandemic. But Only Local Teams ( Fort Hall Teams) were to race these races that Season. This race happened in August of 2020 which would be The Shoshone-Bannock Festival during that time.

This is the Consolation Championship Race with some Great Teams and Fast Horses.
The race was Won by Wolverine Canyon, Second Place was WarChiefs, Third Coby Team. Other Teams in the Race Included, Farmer Creek Relay and Tissidimit.

Teams
Wolverine Canyon- Kalen Hammond
WarChiefs- Jesse Tone
Coby- Xavier BigHair.
