Last weekend Caleb and Nathan Willoughby represented Blackfoot High School at the 2026 Idaho Youth State Championship Shoot in Coeur d'Alene. Shooters participated in 3 shooting disciplines (Trap, S***t and Sporting Clays) attempting to break 275 targets over the course of 3 days.
Notable Highlights:
Caleb Willoughby shot 92/100 targets in the Trap event and tied for 5th place in his age category (Varsity 11th/12 grade)!!!
Nathan Willoughby was was the only shooter in his flight to shoot a perfect station on the very difficult Sporting Clays course!

This marks the first time BHS student athletes have participated in shooting competitions. We had a blast watching Caleb and Nathan shoot and we look forward to growing the program and attending more competitions as a team next year. Spread the word and come shoot with us!!
The Blackfoot Shooting Club would like to thank Cedar Hills Gun Club for their gracious support in allowing our students to use their facilities. Additionally, Cedar Hills is looking for part time workers to fill clay target machines, applicants must be 16 years old.
