PUBLIC NOTICE: INCREASED MILITARY ACTIVITY THIS WEEK AND NEXT WEEK

Residents, businesses, and visitors in the Black River Falls and surrounding Jackson County area may notice increased military activity throughout the community this week as part of a planned military training exercise.

During the exercise, you may see:

• Increased military and support personnel
• Military and support vehicles, including some unmarked vehicles
• Some exercise participants wearing civilian clothing
• Increased aircraft activity in and around the Black River Falls area
• Training activity during both daytime and evening hours

This is part of a planned military training exercise and is not an emergency.

Training activities are being coordinated with local property owners, government officials, law enforcement, and other appropriate agencies to promote public awareness and safety.

We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of our residents, businesses, and visitors as these military personnel conduct important training in our community.

We finished up our Sand Volleyball League on Monday night at Lunda Community Park! Congrats to Big Balls for winning the league and Mexicali coming in as runner-up! Thanks to everyone you participated, came out to watch and we will see you back next year!

We are down to the Final 3 in our Sand Volleyball League - Mexicali, Big Balls and Sunset! Who will take home the championship next Monday night?! Special shout out to Wah Gwaan who was voted the Team Spirit Award winner for the season!

Awesome job to our Kids Running Club for finishing up their summer program this morning with a cross country meet behind Red Creek Elementary School! Thank you to the middle and high school runners who came and ran with them! Stay tuned as there will be another Kids Running Club for Grades 3-5 this fall!
