Well the end of turkey season has come! What a season it was. Not every hunt was successful in harvesting a bird but every hunt made memories! Between the coyotes, hawks, and other hunters we fought for every bird we harvested.

This weekend we moved back into fishing mode. Memorial Day weekend was a fun weekend! We took out my good friend John and his family Saturday and US Army Vet Miguel and his two sons Sunday. Both days were a mix of walleye and drum.

I haven't posted much lately its just been a long turkey season and most days Im in bed when I get home lol.

Land Sea and Air Outdoors took out 8 veterans for a three day turkey hunt and it was awesome! This is the 8th year we hosted this event at our home. With the support of some local turkey hunters and guides we were able to get it done with seven of the eight bringing home a bird! A few of our veterans harvested their first birds ever and the big boy of the hunt was over 25 pounds!

I want to personally thank Garrett Miller, Rick Hernandez, Ian Heller, and Fred Anderson for making this happen. I also want to thank all of the landowners for allowing us to do this because without all of your support we wouldn't be able to do what we do. I also wanted to thank John Charles for grilling lunch and Fred Anderson again for making dinner.

Tony Meyers of Anthony Myers Custom Calls brought out calls for all of the veterans and Thomas Kurete a fellow veteran kicked out some awesome turkey fan plaques for every vet too! Thank you both for your generosity!

We have a few more vets coming out this year so wish them luck!

Awesome day fishing with Steven a fellow veteran from Wisconsin. We limited out on walleye and had an absolute football of smallmouth land in the boat! That was a crazy story!

Steve ended up hooking someone's snapped off line that probably had a 40 pound cat on it! As he was pulling that fish in, we noticed a second line and low and behold that cat was dragging around this big smallie! We weren't able to land the cat but what a great story to share!

Had a blast fishing the Wisconsin River Sunday with friends and staff members John Charles and Sean Baker. We were pregaming for some up coming events. The walleye were thick and managed a few cats as well. Everything came on paddletails and Rippin Raps.

Had a fantastic time with veterans this last weekend. Airforce, Army, and Marines were here to represent and I want to say thank you for your service!

Saturday we chased trout on a local lake and we managed a couple of beauties! It was Valentines Day so the wife came out and grilled some dogs for our vets. Thanks Brandy Holicky !

Second day we all met up at Castle Rock Lake to chase walleye and panfish. Though the walleye were slow we did lose a nice one at the hole and caught a few shorts but the walleye were finicky. The group did manage some nice crappies and some absolute stud bluegill!

All of the veterans who attended received a brand new tipup from Vexan.

Salty Dog Outdoors LLC took out return clients all the way from Chicago to chase flags for pike. Day started off tough and some unforseen circumstances caused us to miss the morning bite. But, this is what I love about amazing clients. All four gentleman had a blast and we grilled out and still got to chase a few flags.

As guides sometimes we dont always get the fish or the bird but we sure as heck try. Thank you to my clients for their patience and understanding and they are coming back!

My weekends are open! I guide Petenwell, Castle Rock, and local lakes and ponds. Nice warm shacks and all the gear!
