Great day with a great family! Sam Warden of Guy4eyes guide service and Dan Danielski of Dan Ds Guide Service helped out Salty Dog Outdoors LLC with the family and they caught a lot of fish! It was a mixed bag of walleye, perch, bluegill, white bass, and drum. A single cat decided to join too.

Best part was being able to take take out a couple of veterans!!

Thank you to the The Bighorn Store for getting the entire family licenses and park passes! Great store!

Salty 1 and 2 went out after the smallies on Petenwell and it was awesome! Managed to put both of these hogs in the boat and a couple smaller ones. Salty 1 with the win as I got my golden hook back from Salty 2 for the biggest fish!

Wow what a weekend!

Petenwell Lake was 🔥 We absolutely put a beatdown on the fish Saturday and Sunday! We threw back more than we kept for sure and had some bonus fish mixed in. The perch bite has been red hot and the size of these fish have been amazing. Flathead and channel cats, smallies, walleye, drum and bluegill made it a fun weekend!

The Wisconsin River systems is some of the best fishing in my opinion. If you ever are down in the Petenwell or Castle Rock area make sure to hit up The Bighorn Store, Castle Rock Hideaway Bait Shop, or Castle Rock Bait & Tackle LLC. All in great areas so whatever area you are fishing, they have you covered.

What a fantastic weekend! Salty Dog took out a family that was down visiting a good friend of mine and we crushed it on Castle Rock Lake! Perch, crappie, drum, walleye, and bluegill all hit the boat! We weren't able to get any legal walleye but we did catch a pile which made it fun for everyone!

The next day we met up with Rick Hernandez of Driftless Pursuit Outdoors and Dan Danielski of Dan Ds Guide Service where we took out 6 veterans through our nonprofit Land Sea and Air Outdoors for some fishing on the Castle. We managed to put a few fish in our boats and one of our vets caught a 25.5 inch walleye!

Thank you to Castle Rock Bait & Tackle LLC for hooking us up with bait and the parking. We appreciate what you do for our veterans.

Hello everyone!

The bite has been hot! Both figuratively and literally.....

This weekend I had the honor of hosting an awesome family for a day of nonstop action. Margaret Gilfillan Walker and her family came all the way from Illinois to fish with Salty Dog Outdoors LLC on Sunday. We put walleye, drum, and perch in the boat and of course Hudson the nine year old, whooped us all! He earned the Golden Hook for the largest fish too! Thank you for the wonderful donation for our vets!

I love the excitement and passion this sport can bring to anyone but its especially fun to see a young newbie fighting fish and hearing the laughter in the boat. This is why I do what I do. It simply brings me happiness and if that's selfish so be it!

Special shout out to James Newlun owner of the Castle Rock Bait & Tackle LLC. He is a gracious host. Its great to be able to get to a bait shop at 5am, get bait and a breakfast sandwich and dock and park right there. Its super convenient! Its next to the Pine Cove Restaurant. Next week we are bringing veterans out there!

For those that have asked, when I post product lines, I receive nothing from them. I don't get free stuff. I promote products that in my belief are the best out there and have served me well. Check them out!

Today my friend John Charles and I hit the Castle To chase whatever we could catch.

Started off rough when I realized I had forgot my keys but thanks to my awesome son Hunter Holicky for driving an hour to bring them, we were able to get on the gold! Drum, walleye, catfish and a bonus smallie all hit the deck.

Castle Rock Bait & Tackle LLC is a great bait shop! Opens at 5 am in the morning which is awesome, especially in this heat!

This Father's Day my wife and spent the day on Petenwell Lake. It was a beautiful day but the Mayflies were disgustingly thick making it hard to sit in one spot very long. Regardless it was a good day. Walleye, whitebass, perch, and this big ole fatty catty my lady caught were in the boat! We didn't take a lot of pics just tried our best to ignore the mayflies and keep a line in the water.

I will say this, there is no better place to get bait then The Bighorn Store. I felt like the extra large fatheads were battling it out with the fish because man they were on crack or something! Stop by there if you ever get out that way. Great selection of jigs and other fishing gear!
