Chaos battled all the way through the consolation bracket at the MAYB Nationals Tournament in OKC this weekend, finishing with 5 wins and only 2 losses.

So proud of these girls for showing up, showing out, playing with heart, and fighting until the final buzzer every single game. They stayed together, picked each other up, and proved that toughness isn't measured by where you start, it's measured by how you respond!

I don't know what parents and coaches need to hear this, but...

When a college coach recruits your player, they're not going to ask, "What was your AAU team's record?"

They're going to ask:

Can this player help us win?

Can they defend?

Can they shoot?

Do they make good decisions?

Are they coachable?

Are they a great teammate?

Do they compete every possession?

And even...what are the parents like.

Too many youth programs have convinced themselves that winning tournaments is the ultimate measure of success. It isn't.

Winning is important, but at the youth level, development should always come first.

We see undefeated teams with very few college players because the athletes never developed individually. We also see players from average teams earn college opportunities because they improved every season.

Parents, don't get caught up chasing trophies.

Coaches, don't sacrifice player development just to win another weekend tournament.

The goal isn't to have the best 13-year-old team.The goal is to produce the best 18-year-old basketball player.

Teach skills.Teach decision-making.Teach basketball IQ.Teach accountability.Teach how to compete.

If you do those things consistently, the wins will eventually take care of themselves.

Development is the mission. Winning is the by product.

These young ladies showed up focused, fearless, and ready to compete! Their toughness, teamwork, and championship mentality carried them all the way to the top as they brought home the gold and the rings. 🏆💯💍

The hard work is paying off, and the future is looking BRIGHT for this talented squad. Keep grinding, keep believing, and keep stacking championships! 🔥👏🏽

No shortcuts. No excuses. Just a group of girls who keep showing up, trusting each other, and competing every time they step on the floor.
This weekend wasn't about one big moment—it was about five games of doing the little things right. Hustling after loose balls. Making the extra pass. Playing defense. Staying composed when it mattered.
Championships aren't won because of one great game. They're built possession by possession, game by game, weekend by weekend.

Chaos took 1st place in the Heat in the Heartland tournament with Court Time Events this past weekend! 🏆

Everyone loves game day, but games are won long before the first whistle blows.

They're won in the summer practices, the extra reps, the sweat, the early mornings, the late nights, and the days when showing up isn't easy but you do it anyway.

Hard work matters. Effort matters. Showing up matters.

What you do when nobody is watching always finds a way to show up when everybody is.

Proud of these girls for continuing to put in the work behind the scenes. ❤️🏀
