Unbenounced to me BARNEY THE PURPLE DInosaur had previously had an altercation with NewYorks Finest durning the Maceys Day Parade a few years ago.
It seemed character took his celebrity status as a right to do as he pleased. Acting as though his blood alcohol was 3.2 he began to mishandle his handlers & refused to be subdued.
In what appeared as a nic’of time a precinct of NY POLICE arrived on the scene. No one knows & it is purely speculation that BARNEY, not willing to go peacefully, pulled a knife & showed full intent of fleeing scene. An unidentified officer apparently secured the knife from the raging dinosaur, but in doing so cut BARNEY’s left side only to further enrage what now acted like a crazed PURPLE BULL FLAILING & JERKING any who attempted to restrain him.

Thankfully for the crowd the many officers brought him down but BARNEYS inebriated status lead to more life threatening injuries & BARNEY passed at the scene.

The public will most likely never know the truth about BARNEY’s demise as the crime scene was trampled by a parade of people.
The truth is BARNEY’s celebrity status lead to his own undoing.
