What we offer:
-Track and Field club
-Speed/agility 8week program (ran 2-3 times a year)
-1:1 Speed/Agility training
-1:1 track specific training (sprinting, blocks, hurdles, etc)
-Remote/tele 8 week speed/agility training
-F.A.S.T.

If your athlete is planning on going to the track meet on Wednesday June 3rd in Fargo the sign up sheet is up over on sportyou!!

Please get that form filled out so we can get them registered! Form open till Tuesday June 2nd at 8pm!!

Speed and Club both start next Monday June 1st!!

If your athlete is signed up for either Club or Speed or maybe even both, we will be using sportyou app for communication!

Communication for club will include track meet sign ups, schedules, and weather related cancels!

Want to continue your track and field season? Want to have the opportunity to compete in the state of ND, Region, and national level this summer!!

Come out and join Dinius Track Club and continue your track and field season all summer!!

Here is the current meet schedule as of today (May 25th) that coaches will be at as of now! Schedule is subject to change

June 3rd Fargo ND
June 9th USATF All Comers Fargo
June 10th Sheyenne River (this one we aren’t sure if coaches will be at)
June 13th USATF Dakota Association (this is the meet you have to compete in and have a USATF membership to qualify for regionals)
June 17th Great Plains Fargo
June 25-28th AAU Region 14 Qualifier @ Des Moines, IA (must have an AAU membership)
June 30th USATF All Comers Bismarck
July 9-12th USATF Region 8 Championship Gretna, NE (coaches have not decided if they will be at this one yet)(have to qualify at the association for this meet and then this is the qualifier for nationals)
July 27-31st USATF Nationals , CA (coaches will not be at this meet)
August 3-8 AAU National meet @ Des Moines, IA

This right here is why Dinius track and field was developed. In all our speed and agility programs we make speed a “PRIORITY” not secondary!

The argument of stronger = faster, has been a contentious subject for many years.

Strength is good.

Strength supplements speed.

Strength gains can and will often improve speed.

Sprinters lift.

Sprinters typically have amazing-looking bodies.

But stronger isn’t always faster.

Power lifters and bodybuilders are seldom the fastest guys on the track team.

We learn by stories. ⤵️

When Covid shut everyone down, I had 8 fast sophomore track athletes who also played 🏈.

These 8 guys found a gym and lifted like madmen. They had nothing else to do. They got super strong and posted flex-pics often.

When things opened up a year later, one of the 8 was faster (slightly). 7 of 8 were slower by an average of one mph. They never got their speed back during their junior track season. None of the 7 ran track as seniors. They continued to play 🏈.

Lifting in the absence of sprinting, jumping, bouncing, and throwing will often make athletes slower.

Is that anti-strength? No.

But, stronger ≠ faster.

It’s more correct to say that athletes who get faster, get stronger. 🏋️‍♂️

Just because fast guys are strong doesn’t mean strong guys are fast.

Sprint, lift, jump, bounce, throw… but make speed the priority.
