Andy wrapped up the season at Oktoberfest this weekend at Dacotah Speedway!
He drew a 3 and started his heat from the pole. He was able to hold onto 2nd for the majority of the heat, but after a caution and a rough restart, he lost a few spots and finished 5th.

He started the feature in 13th and finished 9th. Not the easiest night, but another race full of learning and experience in the stock car. He’s feeling more comfortable in the car every time he gets behind the wheel and was happy with how the night went.

Looking back at the season as a whole, it was a very successful year. Between both cars, Andy finished top 10 in every race he finished this season, with just a few DNFs.

He closed out his time in the Legend with a successful season before making the jump into the IMCA stock car late in the year. A lot of learning, adjusting, and getting comfortable in a completely different class, but the progress throughout the season has been a lot of fun to watch.

Andy raced the Stampede this weekend in Jamestown, finishing 3rd in his heat after starting 4th. He missed the redraw by just half a point in passing points, putting him outside the top 8 for the feature redraw.

Unfortunately, the feature didn’t go quite the way we hoped. After getting hit on the first lap, a bent rim and shredded tire brought the night to an early end. Definitely not the finish we were looking for, but still a fun weekend at the track!

The Drive To Survive Car Show and Pre-Race Party has been rescheduled for Night 1 of Oktoberfest on Friday, October 2nd!

𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗜𝗥 𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗥.

This is a great opportunity to greet fans as they come to the races, hand out hero cards, candy and swag. The Bismarck Cancer Center will be serving a free-will donation meal plus there will be a silent auction. In addition, Vivian the Pink Firetruck will be in attendance.

Andy officially made the jump into an IMCA Stock Car and has been getting some seat time in the new-to-him car.

He made it to Minot for Night 3 of Motor Magic. After an early spin on Lap 3 of the heat race, the feature ended up getting rained out. From there, he headed to Underwood for the Non-Wing Sprint Nationals, where he started 12th in the feature and worked his way up to a 7th-place finish! This past Friday in Dickinson, he started 11th and once again brought it home 7th. Two races, two top-10 finishes!

There’s definitely still some adjusting and learning to do with the new car, but we’re really happy with how things are coming together so far. Huge thanks to everyone who has helped Andy get this car on the track and continues to support us!

Next up: the Jamestown Stock Car Stampede this weekend, and then hopefully one more race at Dacotah Speedway for Oktoberfest!
