This two-day pitching camp in Bishopville, MD on December 12-13, is headlined by Josh Kauten, owner of K’s Academy in Bloomington, Ill., and Matt Righter, Head Baseball Coach of Stevenson University. The pair are back for another year of the pitching camp as they involve an elite instructional piece that is sure to get pitchers better.

Kauten is one of the best pitching coaches in the Midwest. He is sought after all across the United States in both in-person and remote trainings, where his work speaks for itself. He currently has 46 pro pitchers, 235 college pitchers and 70 Division I pitchers.

Kauten brings a unique skillset as he is a former college pitching coach with a degree in Kinesiology with CSCS/OBU certifications. Kauten was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 11th Round and pitched as high as High-A. He is a former teammate of Aces President/Founder, Dave Whigham.

Righter is the HC of Stevenson University and has stops coaching at Vassar, SUNY New Paltz and Johns Hopkins. He was drafted in the 21st round by the Detroit Tigers and played six seasons professionally and reached as high as Triple A. He is a huge advocate of player development and has been a part of the process of multiple players moving onto the pro ranks.

The camp focuses on players moving efficiently to throw harder and stay healthy. There is big piece by piece analysis on how the body moves to throw the ball in a safe manner. The pair incorporate stretching routines, warm up routines and recovery. Players will be shown different drills with plyoballs, body blades, bands and medi balls that will assist with development. A huge piece is on hip mobility as well.

We started this journey for our expansion in June 2022.

It’s been far from easy. It’s tested every bit of our sanity. Its taught us lessons of life.

But as we write on September 18, 2026 - the Aces have received the go ahead to move into our second building in Bishopville.

Another 9,000 square feet of indoor space with six batting cages, a large multi purpose building, four outdoor batting cages w/a roof and lights, 25 additional parking spots in a new lot, Trackman, VALD … list keeps on going.

Thanks everyone that stood by our side in this process.

We did it.

2027 Bradley Means has committed to play at Eastern. The Stephen Decatur HS product made huge strides this past year in all facets of the game. Love seeing this fit for him.

Means started the year with a lot of mound time for the MD State Runner-Up Seahawks, before locking in this last summer for DCP 17U. He’s put in the time and it definately shows. Each year he’s gotten better and better on the bump.

Definitely expect him to make a splash for the Eagles next fall! Just an awesome kid and we’re so happy for him and his family.

Eddy Rodriguez, Special Assistant to Catching Development for the LA Dodgers, returns to Maryland this upcoming January to run the banner catching event on the peninsula. Rodriguez’s camps are the best catching camps year after year and his work shows. Each camper get six (6) hours of catching work at the camp with drills, progressions, video feedback and tutorials.

This is Eddys fifth year running catching event with the Aces and many of the best catchers in the are have frequented the camp over the years including Landon Daniel (Chipola), Brandon Nadeau (Sacred Heart), Nathan Arterbridge (Missouri State), Brendan Timmons (Delaware State), Colby Gilbert (Wilmington), Mark Spoor (Lander) and Max Hansen (Alvernia)

Lots will be on tap at the event including pop up times, footwork & throwing, as well as set up & transition work. The groups will work on elite receiving and blocking as well.

Come ready to get after it with Eddy and the Florida Baseball Ranch!

14U East is the champion of PG Maryland Fall Qualifier in Bowie, Md. The dudes went 4-0 at the event to take home the championship in the first bit of fall action.

14E held a 28-0 run differential in two Saturday wins, before continuing their strong play with two W’s on Sunday.
