State Queen Contest week is no joke!

Over the last several days, our District 8 Queen, Lucy Perricone, has tackled early mornings, long days, interviews, testing, horsemanship, speeches, modeling, and countless hours of preparation while representing California High School Rodeo with pride.

One thing that has been a constant throughout the week? Starbucks. ☕✨

From sunrise coffee runs to much-needed pick-me-ups between events, Starbucks helped fuel the hard work, dedication, and determination it takes to compete at the state level.

These photos and videos are proof that sometimes a little caffeine and a lot of grit can go a long way!

Today, Lucy will compete in the Written Test, Personal Interview, Speech, and Modeling portions of the State Queen Contest. These events showcase not only her knowledge and poise, but also the hard work, dedication, and heart she has put into representing District 8.

👑✨ Lucy’s road to the crown begins now!

Join us in Bishop, California as Lucy competes alongside contestants from across the state for the prestigious title of CHSRA High School State Queen. From interviews and speeches to horsemanship and rodeo appearances, she will showcase the leadership, poise, character, and western heritage that make our association proud.
