WILD: One year ago, UAB basketball had one of the shortest rosters in the NCAA. 🤯
Now, with the return of KyeRon Lindsay-Martin, the 2026–27 Blazers have the tallest roster in UAB basketball history.
The current 13-man roster averages 6’6.31”, narrowly surpassing the legendary 1988–89 team’s 6’6.23” average.
The difference? Just 0.08 inches per player.
And there’s an incredible connection between the two teams.
Andy Kennedy was a 6’8” sophomore on that 1988–89 roster.
Nearly four decades later, he’s now the head coach of the team breaking a record he helped set as a player.
