I worked with one of baseball’s top MLB prospects on the path to the hardest-hit ball in minor league history: 119 MPH.
The key wasn’t swinging harder—it was winning at contact point.
One of the best metrics for measuring this is attack angle.
In batting practice, identify 3 things:
1️⃣ Which pitch can I get to most easily?
2️⃣ How can I create consistent backspin on that pitch?
3️⃣ How can I be just a tick early on that same pitch when I’m in a hitter’s count?
When you do that, you can get your attack angle into the 20-25° range and unlock game-changing power.
Most hitters chase mechanics.
Elite hitters master contact point.
