When your body thinks you’re starving, it fights back.
Too little fuel + too much cardio = a metabolic slowdown.
This is why we train smart, lift heavy, and feed the muscle. When your body senses a prolonged calorie deficit or chronic low-intensity cardio, it can interpret it as a survival threat—slowing metabolism, conserving energy, and holding onto fat. It’s why strength training and adequate fuel are so critical. Your body needs to feel safe to let go.

Been wondering how to get more protein in lately? Same here—it’s not always easy hitting those daily goals.
Here’s one of my go-to high-protein treats that also satisfies a sweet tooth:

Berry Vanilla Chia Seed Pudding (VEEG)
Ready in 1 hour | Serves 4

Ingredients:
• 4 cups unsweetened plant-based milk (use your fave)
• 1 cup chia seeds
• 2–4 tbsp pure maple syrup or honey (based on how sweet you like it)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Mix it up, let it chill, and enjoy!
Add your favorite berries or even a scoop of vanilla protein powder for a boost.

Is the question how much exercise can I tolerate or how much do I need? The more-is-better approach doesn't work so well when it comes to exercise. Your body requires a very specific training approach to achieve your best result. The training session needs to be intense enough to stimulate the adaptive response your looking for -- If it is intense it must be relatively brief and employed infrequently to allow the body enough time and rest to produce the result. The formula for success is to realize there needs to be a balance between intensity, duration, and frequency of training -- and the latest research suggest that most people overtrain in terms of duration and frequency, yet under train in terms of intensity. So if your serious about getting results -- lets ask the right question: At the right intensity, what does my body need?

Want to burn calories while sitting on the couch?
Then don’t skip strength training.

Aerobic activities like walking are a great way to get moving and burn calories—but only while you’re doing them.

Strength training builds muscle, boosts metabolism, and turns your body into a calorie-burning machine… even at rest.
So yeah, those dumbbells are doing more than you think.

Cardio is great. Muscle is magic. Do both.
