The Hormesis 1V1 experience!
The joust
The tour rolled into town and the Savages came to play. What seemed like it was going to be a typical Alabama paintball tournament complete with our standard rain, turned out to be a perfect day for a joust. The joust format for the Alabama stop of the Hormesis tour, turned out to be the largest joust yet. The joust format is very fun and unique. 2 teams, The Magnificent & The Glorious battled it out in 2 90 minute sessions with The Magnificent taking the win. 88 players of all levels of skill in the game fought hard.
The duel
The duel plays completely different. In the duel and random draw decides who plays who in a 20min game time, race to 10 format. Our very own Daniel Contorno fought hard. Taking the lead early against another Southern local William Newbery. Seemingly he was going to take the win early Daniel seemed to light a spark in the Mr. Newberry and the tide began to change the tide. With a hard fight ahead of both of them, Mr. Newberry managed to pull out the win.
Our props go out to Hormesis Paintball for coming up with such an exciting format to play. And a special thanks to Prime Paintball for hosting the event at what is the premiere paintball field in the southeast. We would like to also say a huge thank you to Christina for delivering all the food.
