EYBS Junior Diamond Team Earn Walk-Off Win Over Mifflin Junior Diamond 10U

It came down to the wire today, as EYBS Junior Diamond Team grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 8-7, over Mifflin Junior Diamond 10U. The game was tied at seven in the bottom of the sixth when Max R doubled, scoring one run.

EYBS Junior Diamond Team rallied for the victory despite trailing 5-0 in the third.

Mifflin Junior Diamond 10U got on the board in the top of the third inning after Benny K doubled, scoring two runs, and Evan F grounded out, scoring three runs.

EYBS Junior Diamond Team jumped into the lead in the bottom of the sixth when Vinny L singled, scoring one run, Ashton B doubled, scoring two runs, and Max doubled, scoring one run.

Nathaniel S pitched three innings in relief for EYBS Junior Diamond Team. The hurler gave up four hits and two runs while, striking out six and walking two. Jack B stepped on the hill first for EYBS Junior Diamond Team. The righty gave up three hits and five runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking four.

EYBS Junior Diamond Team amassed 16 hits in the game. Ashton led EYBS Junior Diamond Team with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Jimmy D and Nathan H each collected three hits for EYBS Junior Diamond Team. Vinny and Colton N each collected multiple hits for EYBS Junior Diamond Team. Caleb L and Jimmy each stole multiple bases for EYBS Junior Diamond Team. EYBS Junior Diamond Team ran wild on the base paths, accumulating nine stolen bases for the game. EYBS Junior Diamond Team were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jimmy made the most plays with nine.
