Dear Beartooth Lacrosse Family:
We have planned a meet and greet for our newly combined lacrosse club. This will be a great opportunity for all of us to get to know each other and for everyone to meet your coaches. This will be happening on Sunday, October 8th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Amend Park conference room and pavilion. The event will be catered with some great food and, excitingly, we are going to have a lacrosse scrimmage game, beginning at about 4:00 PM. Players, this means that your attendance is required unless you are excused by Coach Fraser. Apart from the scrimmage game, there is another reason why every player will want to attend. At this event, players will vote on and decide the name, logo, mascot, and color scheme for our team. Coach Fraser is asking players currently attending practices to turn in their ideas (for name, logo, mascot, and team colors) to him this Thursday. Players who are not currently attending practice (or if you do not get your submission to Coach Fraser), please send us your ideas and suggestions (for team name, logo, mascot, and colors) by emailing them to: [email protected]. Please include your own sketch drawings or look-alike art (that you find online) to give us an idea of what you envision and are suggesting for our logo. We will compile the submissions, and the players will vote to decide at the meet and greet. Please have any emailed submissions sent in by email no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, October 6th. Finally, players especially need to attend because we will publicly be announcing and promoting the scrimmage game through press releases, key direct contacts, and in other ways—with the hope of showcasing Billings’ newly combined lacrosse club, and the sport in general. All of you are part of that effort, and we hope that parents, and especially players, will invite as many people as possible to come, watch, enjoy, and take part. Players, put your game faces on—we’re looking for you to show off your athletic abilities on the field and just how fun lacrosse can be.
Thanks,
Joshua Kotter
