Our Dearest Customers,
It is with full and heavy hearts that we bring you this news: After 40 wonderful years of ownership and propriety, we are sad to announce the closure of Sewing Center West.
First and foremost, we want to thank all of you for all the wonderful years and memories; none of it would have been possible without the patronage of our loyal customers. So, from the bottom of our hearts, we would like to express a huge and very sincere Thank You! Serving the community at Sewing Center West has been our life’s work, and we have loved every minute of it.
It is important for you all to know that this is not a decision that we have come to lightly, and in fact, if circumstances were different, it may not have come to this at all. We have worked very hard to keep our doors open, like many small businesses, in the wake of the pandemic and the economic down-turn that ensued. Deg, our repairman, has worked endlessly to make sure that all the machines that crossed his bench were restored and refurbished to their greatest potential. With his efforts, we were able to stay in business, but even legends have to come to a close.
If it were up to the old man he would die at his work bench; and honestly, he has given it his very best effort to do just that. If it were up to him, he would never stop fixing your sewing machines. Unfortunately, whether we like it or not, we are not the highest power in our existence, and sometimes Someone has different plans for the direction our lives may go. Starting in November of 2024, Deg had the first in what would become a series of small strokes. He is alive and he is a trooper! He is putting in the work and making progress with his physical therapy. However, with the nature of these ailments, tasks that were once easy and so close at hand are now much further away and more difficult to perform.
And so, it is with love and honor that we invite you to come in and say goodbye to us here at Sewing Center West, your sewing supermarket, where we have done our very best to serve you, our customers. We are liquidating! So if there is anything, and we mean ANYTHING (machines, furniture, thread, etc.) at the store that you have admired, now is the time! Come in and speak with a store representative, share your favorite memories with us, and help us celebrate 40 years in the sewing industry!
