What an incredible way to wrap up the 2026 season.
The Montana State Fastpitch Tournament brought together the best teams in the state, and Billings Blaze proved once again that we belong among the very best. Every single Blaze team qualified for Championship Sunday. Let that sink in… ALL FOUR teams were still playing on Sunday! That is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and culture that has been built throughout our organization.
🩷 12U Pink
What an incredible first season in 12U!
This group finished the State Tournament 3-2, but their record doesn’t begin to tell the story of the heart they showed all weekend. They battled through every game, never backed down from tough competition, and proved they belong among the best teams in Montana.
Saturday’s dramatic walk-off victory to earn a spot on Championship Sunday perfectly captured the identity of this team. When the pressure is at its highest, these girls continue to find a way to rise to the occasion. These girls simply refuse to quit.
No matter the score, no matter the opponent, they believe they have a chance to win until the final out. That mentality will take them a long way.
They finish their inaugural 12U season with an outstanding 22-13-2 record, this team’s future is unbelievably bright, and if this first season is any indication, they’re going to be a force to be reckoned with for years to come. 💙🩷🥎

💙 12U Blue
Coming into the State Tournament, everyone knew who the team to beat was.
After an incredible season filled with championship runs, this team once again proved why they are one of the best in Montana. They battled their way to Championship Sunday, finishing the tournament 2-2, with both losses coming against the eventual State Champion and State Runner-Up.
While this tournament may not have ended the way these girls hoped, it doesn’t define what they accomplished this season.

Numerous tournament championships.
Countless unforgettable moments.
This team established itself as one of the premier 12U programs in the region.
Now, these girls move on to 14U, and one thing is certain…
They aren’t moving up just to gain experience.
They’re moving up to compete for championships.
The future is incredibly bright.

🩵 14U Blaze
If there was one team that embraced the underdog role this weekend, it was our 14U squad.
Many overlooked them heading into the tournament.
The girls responded the only way they know how…
By winning.
They stormed out of the gates with two impressive victories over quality opponents and earned a trip to the Quarterfinals. They jumped out early against a very talented Hotshots team before ultimately coming up short.
Finishing 2-2 and earning a spot on Championship Sunday is something to be proud of.
This team never stopped fighting.
They played with grit.
They played for each other.
They proved they belong.
After finishing their first 14U season 20-16-1, they’re already hungry to come back next year with one goal…
Be the team everyone is chasing.

This team arrived in Great Falls with one mission…
Compete for a State Championship.
They finished the weekend 2-2, earning their way to Championship Sunday while picking up victories over some outstanding teams.
Every game they played was competitive.
Every inning they fought.
Every opponent knew they were in for a battle.
This group showed resilience, toughness, and the kind of confidence that championship teams are built on.
They’ve sent a message to the rest of Montana…
Billings Blaze 16U is a team nobody wants to see on their schedule.

When Billings Blaze was started, the goal wasn’t simply to win games or collect trophies.
It was to build something bigger.
A family.
A place where players support one another, older teams cheer on younger teams, friendships are formed across age groups, and every athlete knows they belong.
This weekend was the perfect example of that.
Watching our teams stay after their own games to cheer for another Blaze team…
Watching families fill the stands wearing pink and blue…
Watching players celebrate each other’s successes as if they were their own…
That’s what makes this organization special.
The community we’ve built is something truly incredible, and it’s because of every player, coach, parent, volunteer, sibling, grandparent, sponsor, and fan who proudly wears the Blaze name.

Years from now, the scores will be forgotten.
The tournament brackets will fade.
Even the championship rings will eventually collect dust.
But the friendships built in the dugout, the laughs during long road trips, the hugs after tough losses, the celebrations after big wins, and the memories made with teammates who became family… those will last forever.
