Want to move better, feel better, and prevent injuries? These are some of the best exercises to improve mobility and perfect as a warm-up, cool-down, or active rest day flow.

1️⃣ Downward Dog: Opens up the spine, hamstrings, and calves
2️⃣ Cat-Cow: Gently stretches the spine, abs, and shoulders
3️⃣ Spinal Twist: Promotes spine flexibility and releases tension
4️⃣ Runner’s Lunge with Twist: Targets glutes, hamstrings, and hips

Hold each move for 10–20 seconds per side, and resist the urge to hold your breath. Breathe slowly and steadily to help your muscles relax and get the most out of each stretch. Add these into your weekly routine and notice how much better your body feels—on and off the mat.

5 truths I wish I knew sooner: 👇

#1. My workouts will never cancel out a bad diet.

Keep them separate. I used to think of long sessions of cardio as a way to cancel out bad eating, and as long as I did tons of cardio, I could justify the sh*t food I was eating. This thinking kept me on a hamster wheel with zero changes. It wasn’t until I separated my diet and my fitness that I began to see sustainable fat loss.

#2. Strength training will NOT turn me into a (fat) bodybuilder.

I grew up idolizing supermodels of the 90’s that had no muscle, so of course I was afraid of what I’d look like if I used weights heavier than 5lbs at the gym! But what I have learned through trying ALL the diets and ALL the workouts, is lifting heavier makes me lighter. To this day, the heavier I lift, the better I look.

#3. Walking is the most underrated exercise of all time.

Unlike so many fitness fads that have come and gone in the health industry, walking is and always will be a tool for a longer, healthier, stronger life. And it’s free 🙌. Steps are important!! Get them in and stay consistent 6 days / week for fat loss, heart health and stronger bones.

#4. Rest days matter, don’t ignore them.

This does not mean sitting on the couch watching Bravo and eating pizza all day (although that also sounds lovely 🤣). For me it’s walking, stretching, and doing slow yoga movements that help elongate my body and release tightness in my muscles. PS - Rest days are when the changes happen!

#1. My workouts will never cancel out a bad diet.

The Biggest Changes When I Made Strength & Fitness a Priority 💪

When I decided to make being strong and fit a non-negotiable, everything shifted:

✔️ I lost 10 lbs of baby weight—and have kept it off for 6 years
✔️ I stopped feeling guilty about putting myself first & started making my health a priority
✔️ I took back control of my days by waking up earlier, planning ahead & showing up—no matter what

New year, new faces, and a fresh re-introduction! ✨ It’s 2025, and I’m Morgan—strength and nutrition coach for busy moms, here to help you build strong, healthy bodies that support your life (without focusing on weight loss—though that’s a happy bonus!).

Whether you’re new around here or have been with me from the start, I’m so excited to continue helping you find confidence, strength, and energy through workouts that fit into your busy life.

-I’m a proud Minnesotan, now calling New Jersey home with my husband and three beautiful girls.

-I went from feeling sluggish and frustrated with my postpartum body to becoming passionate about strength training and helping others do the same.

-I created The Clubhouse fitness studio in Summit, New Jersey to be a place where women like you can get fit in less time and feel empowered while doing it.
