Top 10 reasons to request David Ski Instructor for your private lesson in Big Bear:
10) Friends don’t let friends teach friends to ski. Learning to ski (or improve your skiing) from your friend or loved one is a terrible idea. The result will likely be a bad experience for both of you. Your friend or loved one may be an advanced skier, but are they professionally trained to teach skiing?
9) Improve faster by learning from a professional, PSIA* Level 2 certified ski instructor. Even Tiger Woods uses a professional golf coach – there is always something he (or YOU) can improve on. I have extensive training in teaching people how to ski and know how to break down your movements and provide helpful feedback to make skiing easy and fun. You’ll be a more effective and efficient skier if you learn the right way. Taking a lesson from me can help get you out of a rut.
8) Safety, and injury prevention. Being out of control can be dangerous to you and other skiers. It is critical to be in control when skiing, and that is my focus no matter what level skier you are.
7) Ski with confidence and control. I believe skiing is 90% mental/emotional and 10% physical. I help you by building confidence in whatever terrain or conditions you desire to ski. A skier who can control their speed in all situations is a confident skier. That is my goal for you.
6) Be less fatigued. Skiing can be a strenuous sport and something most people do only a few days per year. I’ll teach you to ski more efficiently, which will lead to a much more enjoyable (and less sore) experience. You’ll be able to ski longer and you’ll feel better at the end of your trip.
5) I can show you new terrain and help you confidently explore the mountain. Looking for mellow groomers? Want to learn to ski bumps? Trying to find that hidden powder stash? My job is part instructor and part mountain guide, and I’ll show you the terrain that is going to help you have the most fun. I also know where to find the best snow – so take a lesson and we’ll explore the best places to ski.
4) My job is to answer your questions. I will explain information in an easy way so you can learn faster. Whether you’re a beginner trying to get your gear just right, or an advanced skier working on carving, I will show you in simple steps so it’s easy and fun to learn.
3) Get welcomed into the mountain culture with concierge-level service. I don’t teach skiing for the money. I do it because it’s my passion. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and want you to love the sport as much as I do.
2) Using non-resort-employees to learn skiing is a very bad idea. You and I are covered by the resort’s insurance policies, and the resort’s instructors are the only ones they authorize to teach skiing on their property. Poachers (and their students) who get caught risk losing their lift privileges and will likely be asked to leave. The resort conducts a background check on me and all instructors every year. I am professionally trained and certified, the resort confirms my PSIA* certifications annually and we represent that training to you, our valued guest. If you hire an “instructor” outside the resort do you really know who you’re hiring???
1) WE CUT LIFT LINES!!! No waiting in lift lines means more skiing and fun for you.
