Day 10 - Traveling Home (Syd G and Brooke P): UNEWS and Stormin' Norman said goodbye to Italy as well as our awesome tour guide Graziano & bus driver Mattia today! Stormin' soaked up the last views & enjoyed some last Italian snacks. He’s looking forward to being back in his own bed and seeing his family, but will greatly miss Italy and his team. All in all he had an awesome trip! Ciao Bella🇮🇹💚🤍❤️

Day 9 - Rome & The Vatican (Emma, Hannah N, and Amy): After we played on the pitch vs. , we took the Vatican by storm! Stormin' Norman got to experience St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, and of course some gelato with the gals! Stormy may have even found true love. We are sad Italy is coming to an end but thankful for the memories with our team 🌩💙⚽️🇮🇹

Staff update: Erin, Coach Gettler, Coach K, and Coach Jeff have had such an amazing time accompanying UNEWS throughout Italy! We have loved seeing you experience a new country, try new things, make amazing memories, and get even closer as a team. Thanks for all the joy and laughter!

Extra special thanks to our tour director .magnabosco (Graziano) and our coach driver Mattia for taking great care of us and to UNEWS alum (Jessy) and former UNEWS coach (Enrico) for making the effort to see us in Rome! Viva l'Italia! 🇮🇹

Day 6 - Florence (Claudia, Morgan, & Syd B): After a long day yesterday, Stormin' ventured into town to grab a coffee and go shopping with his friends, Sydney, Claudia, and Morgan. He stopped at The Golden River to buy some jewelry with Coach K for his family back home and then got ready for a training session later in the day. To finish a PERFECT day, Stormin' stopped after training to view the entire city of Florence! 🌩💙🇮🇹⚽️

Day 3 - Milan (Payton, Grace, and Casey): UNEWS (and Norman!) started the day with a walking tour of Milan, during which we saw the Duomo and La Scala Theater (including a live opera rehearsal). In the afternoon we played a friendly match against the Como Women in a beautiful mountain setting and made sure to celebrate Pay's 20th all day long! 🌩💙🇮🇹⚽️

Day 2 - Milan (Bella, Lizzie, and Kylie): UNEWS flew over the Alps and saw Stormin' skiing. We arrived in Milan and had some Italian food then arrived at our hotel. We finished the day with a training session. A long day of travel left us all tired! 🌩💙🇮🇹⚽️

Wrapping up 2022 by earning the Gold Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award! We're one of only 11 men's and women's squads (NCAA Division I, II, and III) at the Gold status. We earned the award for exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior, and adherence to the laws of the game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution and red ejection cards from referees during the course of the season. 🌩💙
