A CLOSING NOTE FROM ED -
As I reflect on the closing of 25 incredible years of ownership of Beverly Athletic Club, I will be forever grateful.
What began as a club with good bones and lots of potential became something so much bigger — a community built on relationships, support, friendship, and genuine care for one another. That only happened because of the people.
To our members: Thank you for trusting the BAC to be part of your lives, your routines, your families, and your personal journeys for so many years. The relationships built inside those walls have meant more to me than words can express.
To the entire BAC team, past and present: Thank you for helping create a place with real heart and soul. Your dedication, kindness, energy, and commitment are what made BAC special every single day.
A very special thank you to Andrew Gallant: For 25 years — and most especially throughout this final chapter and transition — Andrew helped lead BAC with professionalism, intelligence, loyalty, and compassion. So much of our success over the decades was a direct result of his leadership and steady presence. I could not be happier for him as he begins his new role with the YMCA of the North Shore. They are truly fortunate to have him.
I also want to congratulate the YMCA of the North Shore on officially opening the SOUL CENTER, and thank them for embracing so many of the incredible BAC team members who helped build this community. I have complete confidence that the YMCA will continue investing in the facility, the staff, the members, and the community, making it an even stronger and better place for years to come.
While it is bittersweet to close this chapter, I truly believe we are leaving BAC far better than we found it 25 years ago — and that gives me tremendous pride and peace.
Thank you all for being part of this journey and for helping us create something so incredibly special together.
- Ed Soul, Owner
