Life gets busy.

There is always another auction to prepare for, another collection to catalog and another box to pack. Sometimes it’s good to stop, look back and acknowledge the people who helped us get here.

So today, we simply want to say thank you.

Thank you to the collectors, dealers, consignors, and friends who have shared their time and knowledge with us over the years.

Thank you for answering our questions, showing us your collections, studying decoys alongside us and pointing out the details we might otherwise have missed.

Grant grew up in the auction business as a second-generation auctioneer, and decoys have been our full-time focus since 2014. But no matter how long we do this, we know there will always be more to learn—and we are grateful for the people who continue to teach us.

We’re proud of what we’ve built together, grateful for the trust this community has placed in us and genuinely excited about what lies ahead.

He travels to pick up collections. He handles and catalogs the decoys. On auction day, he’s behind the microphone as your auctioneer. And when the bidding is over, he’s right back to work—personally packing and shipping purchases to collectors across the country.

At Grant Cole Decoy Auctions, customer service is not handed off to a large staff. When you work with us, you work directly with Grant and Megan Cole.

From the first consultation through pickup, cataloging, promotion, auction day, and final settlement, we remain personally involved every step of the way. We take the time to answer questions, carefully handle each item, and develop a plan that meets the individual needs of every client.

Jim Wierzba, a collector with more than 40 years of experience, describes Grant as honest, motivated, and customer-service oriented. He especially values Grant’s willingness to handle entire collections rather than selecting only the highest-value pieces.

Kathy Weller’s experience involved a large collection belonging to her late husband. Grant traveled seven hours to personally evaluate the collection and later returned with a box truck to carefully pack and transport every item. He remained involved throughout two auction sessions, followed up after each sale, and achieved results that exceeded expectations.
