Illinois Tornado - Rebuild Effort for the Dykema Family
www.youcaring.com
The recent tornado may have knocked the Dykema's home down, but we won't let it knock them down. Dusty and Misty would do anything for anyone.....so let's now do the same for them!

************** A LONG POST ABOUT DUSTY DYKEMA*************
As many of you know Dusty Dykema and Misty Dykema's house was destroyed by the tornado that ran through Washington, IL on Sunday , November 17th. Destroyed is not a descriptive enough word, neither is flattened. Honestly, words cannot describe it. The tornado's path was approximately 800 yards wide and the as far as the skyline.
The Dykema’s are humbled by the overwhelming response they have received in help, support, and donations. Dusty and Misty are also grateful to the donations they have been given for their daughter, Myah. Unfortunately, they are running out of room and storage space. The entire Peoria area is running out of storage space.
I would like to thank everyone who contacted myself or Pints asking to offer help in anyway possible. It is wonderful to see the support of Bettendorf High School alums, Quad City residents, and people on Facebook. I can’t imagine looking at the debris of what used to be my house felt like. Looking at the aftermath, I would not know where to begin. But I do have a way to make to help make it end. A way to help them rebuild.
Pints is going to have a benefit for the Dykema’s on November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving. The Iowa Hawkeyes play Nebraska at 11:00. 100% of our sales for that day will be donated to the Dykema family. Jeff’s Market will be grilling out brats and burgers on our patio and those sales will be donated, as well. Also, our friends at Harrington's Pub in Bettendorf and The Office Bar & Lounge in Davenport are going to be donating a portion of their sales for that day, too!
Please stop in to buy a drink, to donate a dollar, to give Dusty a hug, and to cheer on the Hawks! Hope to see a lot of you all there!
